Biographie
David POLTROCK (°1974) is a Brussels-based producer with over a 100 credits as composer, producer, musician and arranger. He has been around over two decades as a multifaceted session player and producer collaborating with premium Belgian and international artists such as Hooverphonic, De Mens, Triggerfinger, Salvatore Adamo, De Kreuners, Marble Sounds, Razen, Portland, The Blackbox Revelation, Berlin rapper Prinz Pi and many many others
His first solo release as a recording artist under the Poltrock moniker was the 2018 instrumental trilogy ‘Mutes, Moods & Machines’ in which he displays his affection for intimate piano sounds, menacing drones and pulsating electronica. Poltrock’s music met with national and international critical acclaim earning him a Belgian Music Industry Award for best musician in 2019. The cinematic nature of his work as a recording artist sparked an increasing amount of visual media projects: documentaries and tv series most notably.
David Poltrock has his own recording studio in Brussels, boasting an impressive collection of acoustic, electro-mechanic and electronic keyboard instruments. He teaches sound and sound design at PXL University of applied science and art.
